The gates of Hellfire

1 In Ramadan the gates of paradise are opened, the gates of the Hellfire are locked.
Abu Huraira ( May Allah be pleased with him ) reported that the Messenger of Allah ( may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him ) said:
"When Ramadan begins the gates of heaven are opened." A version has, "The gates of paradise are opened, the gates of Jahannam are locked, and the devils are chained." Another has, "The gates of mercy are opened."
